But I remember the following:ġ) Each letter had its own "model" entry in Simplif圓D, which I selected and grouped.ģ) I did not open up each individual body (because that would be annoying)Ĥ) I did not SAVE as STL because then I have to have an extra step in my process In my first week, I spent hours Googling how to send these files directly into Simplif圓D in such a way that I could select the text bodies separately from the sign body, and choose which extruder (in Simplif圓D) would be used to produce each component. The sign has a white plastic appearance assigned to it, and the letters have a blue plastic appearance. I have the sign in a separate component than the group of bodies which consist of the lettering. Those three bodies are extruded above the sign by 1mm. In the first week, a built a sign, which was basically a short cylinder with a filleted top edge, and then I added some text over the top of that sign in three parts which, when exploded, ended up being 15 bodies. I've just recently started using Fusion 360 for parametric 3D design.
